count and survey will:

leaders of the Tarrant County Homeless Coalition, the Fort Worth
Mayor's Advisory Commission on Homelessness, local governments,
foundations, agencies, and churches in identifying the needs,
composition, challenges and barriers facing the homeless in our
communities.
-
Increase public
awareness of the needs of the homeless and gain support for
solutions to end homelessness;
-
Measure the
changes in the numbers and scope of homelessness in Tarrant
County as compared to previous surveys and population estimates;
and,
-
Satisfy
regulatory requirements for receiving Continuum of Care
Supportive Housing Program Funds from HUD.
